Greetings. Welcome to the CCCI Financial need and strategy survey!
In supporting the community-centred connectivity movement over the last years it has become clear that many initiatives need additional financial resources to reach sustainability, or to grow or replicate their networks. So the APC LocNet initiative have been actively researching options for improved funding for community-centred connectivity initiatives (CCCIs), and in that context, we have engaged Canadian consultancy, MCE Conseils, who have a long tradition of work to help finance the social and solidarity economy. We have asked MCEC to identify mechanisms for community connectivity support from the financial sector. Although this work is not guaranteed to lead to funding, with commitments such as those expressed in the recently adopted UN Global Digital Compact to "invest" in "local networks" to "close the digital divides", we believe this study is very timely and could certainly contribute to a better funding environment for CCCIs.
We invested many efforts to keep this questionnaire simple and quick, and we estimate it will take less than 20 minutes to complete. Please be assured that all information collected will be treated anonymously and confidentially by MCE Conseils and will be used solely for the purpose of our sectoral and strategic study. No individual respondent will be identified or cited without further prior agreement.
